What is more important: sales and marketing, or the actual product being sold?
Q. I know people in my line of work who are far more concerned with sales, marketing, and networking than the actual product that they put out. I, myself, am much more concerned with the product. Are they onto something? Do I need to worry more about marketing aspects like they do?

A. I think it was A. Lincoln; you can fool all the people some of the time some of the people all the time but ever all the people all the time. Baskin Robbins; quality is first. YOU can't give away a piece of junk except for its material value. [sales is a division of marketing--not something different]

How much more should one be compensated for excessive travel for a job?
Q. I accepted a job a year ago that involved very little travel (10-20 days a year). Since then my job description has changed and my duties require me to travel 120 day per year or more, with trips sometimes lasting up to 3 weeks working an average of 15 hours per day, 6 or 7 days per week. Does anyone know of any resources that may help calculate an average of how much more "travel" jobs generally pay more than "in office" jobs. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Thanks for the input. In my experience if a company is hiring for two positions, same job,(ex. Project Manager) where one position works out of the office and the other is required to travel extensively, the pay for those two position will differ due simply to the fact that it… [cont.]

A. Usually "travel" jobs pay the same as "office" jobs, the only difference is the company either pays or you get reimbursed for air fair, food, rental cars and hotels.

Are there ways to encourage more Bees to come on your property, thus providing more cross pollination?
Q. Would encouraging more bees be a good thing for your garden? And, if so, how could you do it?
Asked by "Kh a a a a a n n" ! ! - Fri Aug 7 16:40:57 2009 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The more Bees you attract to the garden, the more pollination your veggies will receive. The more pollination the veggies receive, the more veggies you will have to eat. Plant the flowers with strong sweet odors that Bees prefer. The strong sweet smell attracts them from far away, then they arrive and see the flowers in colors they prefer and start pollinating. Honey Bees prefer white and yellow flowers, that is why most wild flowers are white and yellow. They get pollinated more than other flowers. Bumble Bees prefer Red and Blue flowers. There isn't as many Bumble Bees around, so that is why there are fewer wild Blue and red flowers. Both Honey Bees and Bumble Bees will pollinate other colors, but prefer the colors assigned to them… [cont.]
