What is the periodic trend associated with effective nuclear charge?
Q. Effective nuclear charge is the attractive force that is experienced by the outer electrons (when considering the shielding effects of inner electrons) I was wondering what the trend for the periodic table is concerning this trend?

A. Hey the periodic trend is that the effective nuclear charge increases as you go across a period due to which the size of the element also decreases n it decreases as you go down a group!!! See u later BYE!!!>>>!!!

A. a) alkaline metals and alkaline earth metals. b) metalloids? c) Elements tends to be more electronegative moving from right to left. That means elements on the right has stronger charge than elements on the left.
