A. Not at all. The new Star Trek film is a reboot, everything you need to know will be revealed in the theatre. There will be some treats for long time fans, however you won't be lost, so go and enjoy.

A. All of the original Star Trek episode have just been recently remastered and re-released on DVD and Blueray. The Movies are also out in new box sets.

It's not really a prequel, because instead of just being 'the early days of the original series', it's 'the early days of the original characters in an alternative universe', so things are slightly different. In the new movie, at the time that Vulcan is destroyed, the year is 2258. The original series was set in 2266 to 2269. Regarding the scars; Francis is correct, Kirk's just a hardarse. :P I'm not sure when Kirk got the scars, because I only noticed it when Kirk and Spock are on the Narada ship.

A. I actually don't think so. It is a very entertaining movie even if you aren't familiar with the older series. However, there are quite a few inside jokes that you might not get since you haven't seen the older ones... but like I said, you will be entertained. You'll just miss out on a few (which I thought were corny anyway) laughs. Anyway, there's WAY too much Star Trek stuff to watch, you'd end up spending a whole week trying to catch up.

A. I have seen all 10 of them (Original & Next Generation) so many times I can not count. I even own them all. I am waiting for the next one to come out in 2008, but I am not sure I will like it considering it will be all new people playing the parts of a young Kirk & Spock. I have also seen all the series so many times I can almost tell you the next line in any of them. 1. Star Trek (Good for it's time-now seems funny) 2. Star Trek The Next Generation (Fantastic) 3. Star Trek Deep Space Nine (this one was ok but no biggie) 4. Star Trek Voyager (This one I wish they would put into reruns). 5. Where can I watch the new Star Trek movie online?
Q. I keep going to websites such as watch-movies-link.net or theonlydevice.com but the only links they seem to have are on a website called novamov. This website's version of the film causes it to stream almost every 2 seconds. It's extremely irritating! A. Yes, it is a prequel. You will love the movie! You don't need to know anything about Star Trek to enjoy the new film. It is truly the best film I have seen. I only saw it for the first time last weekend. But before that, I had never seen a Star Trek movie or episode in my life! The 2009 film was my first Star Trek adventure. I didn't think I was going to enjoy the movie, but I fell in love with it just as did so many of my friends who had never seen anything Star Trek in the past either. The movie is a prequel so you don't have to know anything really about the characters although there are many inside jokes incorporated into the film for Trekkies. I think I'm becoming a Trekkie now. I always thought Trekkies were weird, but after seeing… [cont.]

As Mr. Spock would say, "it would be logical" from the success of the current movie, and the fact the story line, hving Spock return from the future, thus changing history, thus allowing for a new course in path for those of the Starship Enterprise, right?

A. I believe you are right. I think the new crew have got it now. To be honest, and a bit cruel, I don't think that anyone wants to see the old guys on there anymore. The action, I think, is what made the movie and the older characters just can't pull it off. I'd like to see TNG crew again at some point but right now the hype is all about the "new" crew.
